She currently works as a news anchor at WABC-TV, the ABC flagship station based in New York. Sade became part of the channels news team in 2003. While preparing a report about local flooding on the evening of July 23, 2004, in a location outside of 257 Hudson Street in Hackensack, New Jersey, Sade was struck by a hit and run driver. the driver went through police lines and was rendered unconscious following the collision. Following multiple surgeries and months of physical therapy, Sade returned on-air on December 13, 2004. However, she continued receiving physical therapy five times a week after her return to the station. Nonetheless, the driver in the collision was never caught.
