Leo Mazzone ( Full name: Leo David Mazzone) is an American retired pitcher in minor league baseball and pitching coach in Major League Baseball. From 1979 to 2005,  Leo worked with the Atlanta Braves organization. From 2006 to 2007, he served as the pitching coach for the Baltimore Orioles. Currently, Leo serves as the Special Pitching Advisor for the Furman University Baseball program.

He made his professional debut with the Medford Giants in 1967, a class-A farm team of the San Francisco Giants.  Leo played 7 seasons in the Giants organization and reached as high as the Double-A Amarillo Giants. He played four seasons from 1970 to 1973 at Amarillo Giants. Also, Leo played the next three seasons in the Oakland Athletics chain and reached Triple-A with the Tucson Toros in 1975. In 1976,  Leo was a player-manager for the class-A Corpus Christi Seagulls and became their full-time manager the following season.

His pitching philosophies state that pitchers should throw more between starts (two sessions instead of one) and be able to throw strikes on the low and outside corner of the strike zone. Leo took the Baltimore Orioles pitching coach job after the end of the 2005 season.
