Chris Broussard ( Full name: Christopher Dana Broussard) is an American Sportscaster. He currently serves as a sports analyst and commentator for both Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Radio. Chris is best known for his coverage of the NBA. Currently, he is the co-host on FS1’s morning show called “First Things First.

Additionally, Chris serves as the co-host of another show called  “The Odd Couple with Rob Parker”. The show airs on Fox Sports Radio. Before joining his current network, Chris worked for The New York Times, ESPN The Magazine as well as ESPN.com. He also made some appearances on NBA Fastbreak, First Take, NBA Countdown, and ESPN’s SportsCenter as an analyst. In 1990, Chris launched his sports writing career for The Plain Dealer.

He served there for a period of four years prior to moving to the Akron Beacon Journal. There, Chris covered the NBA. He spent two-and-a-half seasons with them serving as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat writer. Later, Chris went on to work for The New York Times in 1998. While there, he covered the New Jersey Nets for two years, the New York Knicks for three years, as well as the NBA in general for one year. He became part of ESPN The Magazine in September 2004.

He was an occasional panelist on First Take debating sports topics with Skip Bayless. He was added to ABC’s NBA Countdown pregame show as an NBA insider for the 2011–12 NBA season. Also, Chris spent three years serving as a sideline reporter for nationally-televised games on ESPN and ABC.

In April 2013, Chris was criticized for comments he made on an ESPN Outside the Lines program concerning an NBA player called Jason Collins coming out as homosexual. Chris had expressed his views on homosexuality as well as other sexual behaviors which he characterized as sins. Later, Chris released a statement that clarified his remarks and said that he had merely offered his “personal opinion as it relates to Christianity.” He conceded that he realizes “that some people disagree with my opinion and I accept and respect that.”
