While working at ESPN, he anchored the show called SportsCenter and did “play-by-play” for early NBA games.

While at MSG, Greg served as a backup announcer for Marv Albert on New York Knicks broadcasts and also provided coverage for college basketball. At MSG, he signed a huge contract to broadcast New York Yankees games in 1989. Greg worked as the host of the pregame as well as postgame shows.
