While working, Sawyer lead journalist for the Emmy Award-winning “KWTX Baylor Gameday” show which she pretense before each Baylor home football match-up. During that time, she was a game journalist and anchor for Baylor Athletics.

While working for  Baylor Athletics,  Sawyer co-tied down local communications for occasions, such as the Cotton Bowl, Russell Athletic Bowl, NFL Pro Day, and National Signing Day among others. In 2014, Sawyer contended for Miss Waco and became the second sprinter up. likewise, in 2015, she contended forMiss Park Cities where she was the first sprinter up.

As Miss Texas, Sawyer had an adventure that enabled her to share an enthusiasm for wellbeing and wellness. She also established a foundation, “Play Every Day,”  with the YMA organization which spotlights on advancing solid ways of life. She was chosen as the 2015 Young Woman of Achievement and was awarded various meeting grants such as, primer way of life and wellness grant, network administration grants due to her inclusion with more than 40 non-benefits. Additionally, Sawyer was given honors for her efforts.
