Jimmie Allen (Full name: James Edward Allen) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Signed to Broken Bow Records imprint Stoney Creek, he has already made history as the first black artist to launch a career with two consecutive No. 1 hit on country radio. “Best Shot” which claimed the No. 1 spot for three weeks and “Make Me Want To” off his debut album Mercury Lane, released fall 2018. Allen performed at the 2020 CMA Awards show and was also nominated for New Artist of the Year.

Charley Pride (Full name: Charley Frank Pride) was an American country singer, author and performer, baseball player, and guitarist. He was considered the first Black country music singer and lovingly known as “Jackie Robinson of country music” by the press. Pride was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. In 1967, he became the first African American to sing at the venue. Pride held three Grammy Awards and had at least 43 No.1 country singles and multiple albums. He died on Saturday, December 12, after battling Covid-19 disease. Pride was last seen on November 11, 2020, when he received the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award.
