Brett became part of the KSTP 5 Eyewitness News team in May of 2015. Before that, he worked at WXIX based in Cincinnati, Ohio as their reporter/MMJ with Raycom Media. Prior to joining WXIX, Brett served as a bureau reporter for WFIE based in Evansville, IN.
His career in journalism started by working as a news intern at WKRC based in Cincinnati, OH. While working for WXIX, Brett covered several stories that made national headlines. His most memorable stories are; the deadly bridge that collapsed onto Interstate 75, covering the IRA scandal that had major ties to the Queen City, as well as covering a story about a local man who was arrested for attempting to bomb the Capitol. Additionally, Brett covered historic flooding at WFIE in Western Kentucky.

Mary McGuire, wife to Brett is an experienced reporter who has demonstrated a history of working in the broadcast media industry. She served for WCCO-TV news for over 3 years.
