About his surgery, this is what Mark posted on his Facebook page on January 24, 2019. “So it stinks not being able to move around much after surgery, but there are some awesome people in my life that are making it better. First, my wife took me to the doctor yesterday and stayed there for four hours until we got home. She has been such a kind and considerate person as I’m laid up on the couch. Then, there are my parents who came and brought me rice and beans for lunch today and are being so encouraging. My supportive in-laws, friends, colleagues, and managers at work have been incredibly compassionate during a frustrating and strange time…and then there’s Xena. We’re getting to hang quite a bit now. She’s my little cuddle bug. Thanks for all of the good wishes – fingers crossed I’ll be back at it next weekend”.
