Prior to that, Bill served as the news anchor for WNCN (NBC 17) along with Melanie Sanders and meteorologist Wes Hohenstein. The team broadcasted the station’s weeknights at 6, 7, and 11 pm. Before that, he worked for MSNBC as their overnight anchor.
Bill left WNCN in December 2008, almost 2 years after joining the station. The reason behind his resignation from the channel was economic downsizing by the parent company Media General. Before joining WNCN, Bill served as an anchor for MSNBC. Prior to joining MSNBC, he served as a weekend anchor as well as a general assignment reporter for WVTM-TV in Birmingham, Alabama (the NBC-owned-and-operated station). Previously, Bill served as a reporter for the local cable news network News 12 Long Island, New York.
Additionally, he worked as an off-air reporter and associate producer for WVIT-TV (the NBC-owned-and-operated) in Hartford, Connecticut.
