He is a veteran basketball coach both in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and college basketball. Furthermore, PJ started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Fordham University after he graduated. In 1975, he secured his first coaching job after he took over the New Hampshire College.
Additionally, PJ has also had successful coaching stints at Wagner College of Staten Island, New York, where he led the team to two NIT berths, Puerto Rico, and Seton Hall University. Furthermore, he was an assistant coach for the U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team who won a gold medal in 1992 during the Summer Olympics.
