As a basketball player, he has played for Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and Fantoni Udine from 1977 to 1989. In addition, he retired with 13,892 points, 4817 rebounds, and 2502 stats.

He won the inaugural John R. Wooden Award and became USBWA College Player of the Year as the nation’s top collegiate basketball player in his senior year.
