Ed was scheduled for brain surgery in July 2019. The surgery lasted for 13 hours after the doctors successfully removed a benign tumor from his brain. He was later released from the hospital for further recovery at home after staying at the hospital for less than a week. Ed and his wife were grateful for the family and friends who journeyed with them during the surgery.
