Dave Salesky is an American Meteorologist. He currently serves as a weather forecaster at KATU-TV ( ABC-affiliated television station) based in Portland, Oregon, United States. . Dave is a certified meteorologist who holds the seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society. Dave has been an avid pilot for the last 25 years with a commercial pilot’s license. He flies his 1946 Aeronca Champ all over the Northwest weather permitting.
In 2009, Dave completed his 10th journey on Cycle Oregon. The Alaska native is also a pretty good fisherman but not as good as Rhonda. The biggest salmon that Dave ever landed was a 75-pound king. In 2010, Authorities confirmed that Dave’s plane made an emergency landing on Sauvie Island Sunday but chief meteorologist, Dave landed safely.
His single-engine plane lost power on approach to Scappoose Airport shortly afternoon, said Lt but the plane landed safely in a wheat field on the north part of the island.
