USA JOURNALISTS’ BIOS

Evelyn Taft is an American Meteorologist, Journalist, Director, and News Editor. She currently works at KCAL9 Los Angeles as the Meteorologist for KCAL9 News on weekdays at eight and ten p.m. Previously, she worked for KRON 4, San Fransisco Bay Area anchoring the seven-hour morning show.

Jaime Maggio is an American Television Sports Broadcast. She anchors for CBS Los Angeles and is on the sidelines with the Clippers for Fox Sports West. Maggio is a two-time Emmy winner who at times works on the sidelines for the NBA playoffs on TNT or even fills in on FS1 national shows. She is the girlfriend of David Pasternak, a marketing director for Sony Pictures.

Alex Biston is an American Meteorologist for CBS2, KCAL9, and CBSN LA. She was part of an Emmy-award-winning coverage of the 2018 Thomas Fire. Previously, Alex worked for ABC/CBC affiliate, KEYT in Santa Barbara as a weather forecaster and Ventura County bureau reporter.

Lesley Marin is an American journalist working for the CBSLA/KCAL as a reporter and anchor for the news team. She joined CBS/KCAL Los Angeles station in November 2019 as a general assignment reporter. During weekends, Marin gives a hand in anchoring CBSNLA. Previously, she was working for KTNV in  Las Vegas as an anchor and reporter.

Serene was among the chosen media witnesses at the execution of  Clarence  Ray Allen (a convicted killer) at San Quentin Prison. She was privileged to secure an interview with a few sexually violent predators from a mental hospital, Atascadero. She is also the recipient of the Shakespeare award.

Lucy Kafanov is a Russian-American journalist working for CNN as a National Correspondent. Previously, she was working for NBC News as a Foreign Correspondent. Furthermore, Lucy is best known for being the first Russian-American journalist to gain access to a newly formed Russia’s Arctic Military Brigade.

Suzie Suh is a Korean-born American journalist and co-anchor for KCAL9’s 4, 8 & 10 pm News. She joined KCAL9 in 2013 hence been the first Korean-American anchor on an English language Primetime in Los Angeles. Previously, Suh was working for CBS2 as a co-anchor and KCAL9’s weekend newscasts. In addition, she first joined the duopoly in November of 2005, as a General Assignment Reporter

Hermela Aregawi is an Ethiopian-American Independent journalist and the co-founder of No More. Previously, she was working for KCBS as a news anchor.

Phlash Phelps (Full name Gordon Phlash Phelps)  is an American radio personality as well as a disc jockey. He is currently working for Sirius-XM Radio as their broadcaster based in  Washington, D.C. Phlash hosts the weekday morning drive time on the ’60s on 6 channel, the program plays music hits from the 1960s. Prior to joining SiriusXM, He was working at XM Satellite Radio since 2001.

Mike Doocy is an American sports journalist and anchor for FOX 4. He is the host of “free 4 All” every weeknight at 10:30 p.m, where he blends interviews, entertainment, unscripted opinions, and sports. Furthermore, Mike also anchors “sports Sunday” on a weekly basis.
