Evelyn Taft is an American Meteorologist, Journalist, Director, and News Editor. She currently works at KCAL9 Los Angeles as the Meteorologist for KCAL9 News on weekdays at eight and ten p.m. Previously, she worked for KRON 4, San Fransisco Bay Area anchoring the seven-hour morning show.

Due to her charming personality and great skills, the ratings of CBS/KCAL tremendously increased earning her membership in the National Weather Association. In addition, she also got a seal of approval from the association.
After the Coronavirus pandemic in April 2020, Evelyn forecasted the weather from home using her television to display maps and graphics. She previously viewed working from home as an impossibility that changed after the pandemic.
Previously, Evelyn worked for KRON 4, affiliated with MyNetworkTV, in San Fransisco Bay Area anchoring the seven-hour morning show. Before working for KRON 4, she was working at KCOY-TV, a CBS-affiliated TV, in Santa Maria, California, as a weather forecaster, reporter, and news anchor.
During her time there she worked on “Military Minute”, earning the National Army Guard Appreciation. Prior to joining KCOY-TV, Evelyn was working as a weather forecaster for KION-TV, in Monterey, California, in the United States. While working there, she reported on several wildfires in Santa Barbara County.
