Barbara Morse is an American anchor and reporter. She currently serves as the anchor and the Health Check reporter for NBC 10 News. Her broadcasts air every Saturday and Sunday evenings. Apart from being a journalist, Barbara is as well an active member of the community. She spends much of her free time volunteering for nonprofit making organizations in her community.

Prior to moving to Indianapolis, Barbara spent some years in Detroit. Southern New England has been her home since 1987 and thus she is an honorary Rhode Islander. She is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists in the USA. A former president of the Southern New England Association of Black Journalists.

Prior to that, Barbara worked as a general assignment reporter for WLNE-TV based in Providence.

Before that, she was a news reporter at WAND based in Decatur, Illinois. Barbara held the same role at KOLD-TV based in Tucson, Arizona. Barbara was nominated four times for Emmy Awards in 1993, 1999, 2001, 2008, as well as 2014. Additionally, she won an Associated Press Award in 2008 due to her report on the shaken baby syndrome.

In 2019, Barbara was inducted into the prestigious Silver Circle, for her distinguished service of more than two decades in television and also for her dedication to mentoring and volunteering. Silver Circle is one of the highest honors by the National Academy of Arts & Sciences in New England.
