Patrisse Cullors is an American activist and artist. She is the co-founder of the organization Black Lives Matter movement. She came up with the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag back in 2013. Patrisse has written and also spoken widely about the issues concerning the movement. Some of the topics that she advocates include prison abolition in Los Angeles as well as LGBTQ rights.

Kasey also has won herself six awards. Her job as a reporter and multimedia journalist is to tell stories that serve the community and being trusted to do so is her greatest privilege of all times. Prior to joining WRAL, she served at WAVE 3 NEWS as their reporter and Multimedia Journalist based in Louisville, Kentucky from March 2015 to February 2018.
