Tony Kornheiser is a renowned American former sportswriter and columnist working as a television sports talk show host. He served as a writer for The Washington Post between 1979 to 2008. Since 2001, he has worked as co-host of ESPN’s sports debate show Pardon the Interruption and host of The Tony Kornheiser Show. Additionally, he began his career as a writer for Newsday and The New York Times before joining The Washington Post in 1979.

Tony Kornheiser was born on July 13, 1948, in New York City, New York, in the United States to Estelle and Ira Kornheiser as the only child. His mother died in 1978 while his father Ira died in 2000 at the age of 89. He holds American nationality and is Jewish.
