Alison Bechdel is a popular American cartoonist, Author of Are You My Mother? A Comic Drama, Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic, and the comic strip Dykes. She is also recognized for originating the Bechdel test. Previously known for the long-running comic strip Dykes to Watch Out For, Alison came to critical and commercial excellence in 2006 with her graphic memoir Fun Home, which was later adapted as a musical that received a Tony Award for Best Musical in 2015.

Jillian Tamaki is a noted Canadian American illustrator and comic artist. Her work has appeared in The New York Times and The New Yorker. She has also done graphic novels Boundless, as well as Skim and This One Summer written by her cousin Mariko Tamaki. As she is shaped by feminism and race, her work aims to include diverse characters that readers can better identify with.

Bruce MacKinnon is a popular Canadian editorial cartoonist at the Halifax Chronicle-Herald and Saltwire Network. He is the receiver of many awards of excellence due to his work. Bruce started drawing a weekly cartoon for The Casket in Antigonish at the age of 14.

Pia Guerra is a noted American-born Canadian comic book artist and editorial cartoonist. She works as co-creator and lead penciller on the Vertigo title Y: The Last Man. Pia has also worked in the comics industry since the 1990s. In addition, she does cartoons for The New Yorker, MAD Magazine, and The Nib.

Michael de Adder is a popular Canadian political cartoonist and caricaturist currently working at The Washington Post since March 2021. He also draws and writes editorial cartoons as a freelancer. Michael’s work appears in The Toronto Star, The Chronicle Herald, The Hill Times as well as Brunswick News Inc.

Barry Blitt is a popular Canadian-born American cartoonist and illustrator known due to his New Yorker covers and as a frequent contributor to the op-ed page of The New York Times. He forms his works in traditional pen and ink, and watercolors.

Zach Weinersmith (Full Name: Zachary Alexander Weinersmith) is a popular American cartoonist and writer, well known due to his webcomic Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (SMBC). Besides SMBC, Zach is the co-author of four books, a sketch comedy series, a podcast, as well as many other webcomics.
