A retired defensive back, he played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the B.C. Lions in the CFL, who he received the Grey Cup with in 2006. Since leaving football in 2009, he has taken the discipline he studied as a professional athlete and applied it to being a self-employed contractor.

He became drafted by the BC Lions in the 2005 CFL draft. Following being sidelined with a torn ACL during the 2005 season, Sebastian returned to play all 18 games for the Lions in their 2006 Grey Cup-winning season. Undergoing another season-ending injury midway through the 2007 season, Sebastian was forced to move from a second ACL tear.

Coming back from reconstructive knee surgery for a second time, Sebastian was sold to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, but moved to the Saskatchewan Roughriders midseason and stayed with the Roughriders for the rest of his CFL playing career.
