She began co-anchoring the station’s evening newscast at 6 p.m and 11 p.m along with Russ Mitchell in September 2015. Sara joined WKYC-TV in June 2015 working as a general assignment reporter before she became an anchor.
Prior to that, she worked at WVLT, WBXX where she started off as a multimedia Reporter and was later promoted to morning live reporter and fill-in anchor. Sara’s career journey commenced in Athens, Ohio at a station called WOUB Public Media where she served as a one-man-band reporter and multimedia journalist and later became a one-man-band reporter, anchor, and producer.

On her big day, she wore a custom silk stretch crepe made by Laura Smith of A Bride’s Design in Avon. The nautical-themed wedding was attended by around 250 guests.
Sara’s bridesmaids wore a rented red color Badgley Mischka gown that she first saw on her 30th birthday trip to New York City and fell in love with ever since. After their 20-minute ceremony, Sara and her husband circulated the Plaza riding a boat at the Cuyahoga River.
