Richard Brooks is a popular American actor, singer, and director. He played in the NBC drama series Law & Order from 1990 until 1993. In the Series, Richard played the role of assistant district attorney and space-western Firefly Paul Robinette.

He played ADA Paul Robinette in the first three seasons of Law & Order. Richard returned to the series as a Defense Attorney in the episodes “Custody”, “Birthright”, and “Fear America”. He afterward replayed Robinette in the Chicago Justice episode “Uncertainty Principle”. He is also well recognized by some science fiction fans due to his appearance on Joss Whedon’s Firefly, as a bounty hunter Jubal Early in the metaphysical series finale Objects in Space.
