At that moment, God revealed that he had other plans for him. As he was waiting for his wife’s return, Raul was flipping on the channels on his television when he saw Chuck Smith preaching. Additionally, he disclosed that he wanted to shoot the screen so that Chuck would stop talking but he couldn’t pull the trigger. It was at that moment that he gave his life to Christ. Furthermore, he and his wife are proud parents of three all-grown-up sons.

His wife has first diagnosed with stage two breast cancer in March 2009. At the time, Raul’s wife had surgery, and the cancerous breast was removed. Later on, she had to follow up treatment with medication to prevent a reoccurrence of cancer. Fortunately, she received treatment and God healed her of any cancerous cells in her liver.
