Mike Warnke ( Full name: Michael Alfred Warnke) is an American Christian evangelist and comedian. In 1992, Mike was for inventing stories of his past as a Satanist. In the 1980s, Mike was viewed as an “expert” on Satanism prior to being debunked by the Christian magazine Cornerstone. He releases a  book titled The Satan Seller in 1972 which he wrote with help from Balsiger and Les Jones.

The book narrates the story of Mike being orphaned as a child and his introduction to Satanism. It also details  Mike’s participation in sexual orgies, alcoholism, as well as drug dealing. The book also gives the journey that Mike went through during his rise in the ranks of Satanism to the level of “high priest and how he presided over Satanic rituals such as summoning demons.

Also, the book gives his experience in ritual sex including kidnap and rape, magical spells,  his heroism in Vietnam, the attempt on his life — a heroin overdose — that left him angry and disillusioned, as well as how he found Jesus and came home as an evangelist.  The story ends with Mike living happily in California with his wife named Sue Studer.

His family moved to Manchester, Tennessee when he was only 5 and his dad opened a truck stop. Mike’s mother died in a car accident in 1955 while his father died in 1958 leaving Mike an orphan. Mike was taken to live with two of his aunts in Sparta after the death of his father. He later went to live with his father’s half-sister and her husband in San Bernardino, California.

Mike was again ordained after his graduation and he and his family relocated to Denver, Colorado.
