Mark Jackson (Full Name: Mark A. Jackson) is an American retired qualified basketball player currently working as an NBA analyst for ESPN and ABC with his previous coach Jeff Van Gundy and play-by-play man Mike Breen. Previously Mark worked as head coach of the Golden State Warriors.
Mark also served as an analyst for The YES Network’s New Jersey Nets games. In 2011 the Golden State Warriors employed Mark as head coach. Mark trained the group for three seasons but became dismissed in 2014 despite making the Warriors to continuous playoff appearances for the first time in more than 20 years. He signed with the Utah Jazz on October 2, 2002, and played as John Stockton’s backup for them in the 2002–03 season.

As a player, Mark was a standout at St. John’s Campus and a first-round pick by the New York Knicks in 1987. Mark became named Rookie of the Year in 1988 and participated in 17 seasons for many teams such as the Knicks, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, and Houston Rockets.
