Lesley Stahl is a popular American journalist currently working at CBS News as a 60 Minutes correspondent. She has covered for CBS’s 60 Minutes since joining the station in 1971. Lesley is known due to her news and television investigations, and award-winning foreign reporting.

Before coming to 60 Minutes, Lesley worked as a CBS News White House correspondent and was the first woman to hold that job over the Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan presidencies as well as part of the term of George H. W. Bush. Lesley’s coverage appeared frequently on the CBS Evening News, first with Walter Cronkite, later with Dan Rather, as well as on other CBS News broadcasts.
