Her love for storytelling started at a very young age when she was in kindergarten. While there, Kristina launched the station’s very first UT San Diego morning newscast. She also had the opportunity to travel to the Philippines to report on the recovery efforts after the destruction of Typhoon Haiyan. As a result, she was recognized with her first Emmy award for her reports.
Kristina joined KSWB FOX 5 for the second time working as a reporter. She spent two years and a half reporting the evening newscast before the station changed her role to Waking Up With San Diego. Kristina currently serves as the station’s morning anchor. She is active in the Filipino-American community, where she hosts events such as “For The Love of The Philippines”, which is a televised San Diego Benefit for Typhoon Haiyan victims as well as the Fil-Am Festival in San Diego.
