Prior to joining WAGA, Kerry was working as a morning anchor for WGHP in Greensboro, N.C. While working there he provided coverage for Democratic and Republican National Conventions during the presidential campaign in 2016, the Presidential inauguration in 2016, Democratic National Convention in 2012 at Charlotte, N.C., Emanuel A.M.E. Church Massacre in 2015, and also the Virginia National D-Day Memorial. Additionally, Kerry has also worked in Shreveport, LA, Columbus, and Cincinnati as a producer/ anchor.
During his career as a journalist, Kerry has also provided coverage on three national political conventions, a presidential debate, followed two viewers to the Bahamas while checking their families and childhood homes after Hurricane Dorian, Super Bowl LIII, and also interviewed several entertainment icons in Atlanta during the grand opening of Tyler Perry Studios.
