Before that, Kara began her journalism career at WXVT based in Greenville, Mississippi. From there, she moved on to work as an anchor of the morning and the noon show at WCTI based in New Bern, North Carolina. In 2010, Kara got a chance to work at WICU-TV/channel 12 which is in her hometown.
She immediately accepted the offer and since then, Kara has been anchoring WICU-TV/channel 12 News. Kara says that There’s no place like home! She loves living and working in her own hometown and being a member of the Erie News Now team. Kara considers it a great privilege and her responsibility to bring her viewers the stories that matter each and every day. When Kara is off the TV duties, you are likely to find her chasing around her three little boys.
The boys keep her husband, Rob who is an Erie native very busy and are his greatest source of joy. Also, Kara loves giving back to her community and she proudly serves as an advisory board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of NWPA as well as Hooked on Books for Kids Erie.
