Ivan Cabrera is an American metearologist. He currently serves as a weather forecaster as Kob4 ( NBC Affiliate). Ivan became part of the KOB 4 weather team in January 2020. He joined the station as their chief meteorologist. Ivan appears on weekday evenings as well as weeknights for weather updates and forecasting.
He is fluent in both English and Spanish. Also, Ivan has experience as a Spanish-speaking meteorologist while working at NY1 News in New York City, Bay News 9 in Tampa, as well as News 8 in Austin. His career started way back in 1996. By then, Ivan served as a radio weather anchor for AP Network News as well as local market radio stations all over the United States. Later, the channel hired him full-time in February of 2010. Ivan presented weather segments regularly on World Report and occasionally appeared on CNN en Español reporting on severe weather. Before joining CNNI, Ivan served as a meteorologist for WESH-TV. While there, won an Emmy award in 2007 for his Tornado Team coverage.
