Heather Mac Donald is an American author, attorney, essayist,  and conservative political commentator. She is A Thomas W. Smith Fellow of the Manhattan Institute who serves as a contributing editor of the institute’s City Journal. Heather has written so many editorials and numerous books as well.

She is best known for her pro-police views as well as her opposition to criminal justice reform expressed in her book titled The War on Cops and columns including “The Myth of Systemic Police Racism” and “The Myth of the Racist Cop.” After her graduation from Stanford University Law School, Heather worked as a clerk for Judge Stephen Reinhardt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Subsequently, she was an attorney-advisor in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Apart from that, Heather volunteered with the Natural Resources Defense Council.
