He currently serves as a FOX News national correspondent based in the Washington, D.C. bureau since 2011.  Garrett began his journalism career in 2003 by serving as an anchor and producer at T/E TV based in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. After 9 months of working for the station, he interned at Comcast from April to June 2004.

After that, Garrett became a sportscaster for NBC Sports Philadelphia (formerly known as Comcast SportsNet). He also interned at different CBS affiliates, such as KSL Sports from April to June 2009, Nevada-commissioned KSNV-TV from July to August 2009, as well as Las Vegas.
