Emma Thomas is a famous British film producer who has produced all of her husband Sir Christopher Nolan’s movies since 1997. As a producer, she has earned the Academy Award, BAFTA, Critics’ Choice, and Golden Globe for Best Picture for Oppenheimer (2023). Emma has also co-produced The Prestige (2006), Inception (2010) (2010), the Dark Knight trilogy (2005-2012), and Interstellar (2014). In addition, Emma was appointed DBE for services to film.

The movie Memento marked Nolan and Emma’s breakthrough in 2000.

Emma also assisted director Stephen Frears during the production of High Fidelity in 2000. Nolan and Emma launched their production company Syncopy Inc. in February 2001. In 2002, she co-produced the psychological thriller Insomnia after filmmaker Steven Soderbergh recommended Nolan to Warner Bros. Moreover, she has produced the Dark Knight trilogy with Nolan which was made up of Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

In 2016, Emma served as the executive producer of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League in 2017. She also worked as executive producer on Zack Snyder’s Justice League in 2021. Emma’s 12th film was Oppenheimer produced in 2023. Oppenheimer won the 81st Golden Globe Awards, the 77th British Academy Film Awards, and the 96th Academy Awards. Additionally, she is the first British female producer to win the Oscar for Best Picture.

Moreover, the movie earned the 96th Academy Awards, the 77th British Academy Film Awards, and the 81st Golden Globe Awards.
