Coventry City

Upon joining, Hutchison struggled to secure a regular place in the starting XI, therefore, left the team by mutual consent in November 2005. He joined Coventry City in January 2006 and signed a contract until the end of the 2006–07 season and later signed an additional one-year deal in June 2006. Due to an ankle injury that restricted his appearances for the first team and was released at the end of the 2006–07 season.
Luton Town
His last team to participate in was Luton Town where he signed a one-year deal in July 2007. He was later released from the team at the end of the season after scoring once for Luton, in the Football League Trophy against Northampton Town. Hutchison turned down his two wage packets and offered to sponsor two youth team players from the 2008–09 season.
