Diane was caught in disbelief that who would have thought a little Black girl who grew up in Richmond’s Church Hill, and who never had a chance to see any local reporters who looked just like her on TV until she was in high school, would grow up to become such a devoted and passionate advocate of consumer rights as well as a voice for the voiceless one in the community.
Forty years working as a television journalist is a great achievement for Diane. She, therefore, believes to have been blessed and she humbles herself and feels grateful for RVA residents who supported her through all these years and her NBC 12 family as well.
