Before joining CNN and Harvard Kennedy School, David was serving as the White House Adviser to four United States Presidents both from the Republican and Democrat Parties; Nixon, Ford, Reagan, and Clinton. He has documented his experiences while working at the White House in the New York Bestseller; Eyewitness to Power: The Essence of Leadership, Nixon to Clinton (Simon & Schuster, 2001).
