Dave Canterbury Biography

Dave Canterbury (Full Name: David Michael Canterbury) is a popular American survival expert, author, Youtuber, and Television presenter. He now owns and works at the Pathfinder School as an instructor. Dave teaches survival techniques, promoting what he terms the “5 Cs of Survivability”: a cutting tool, a combustion device, a cover, a container, and cordage.

Additionally, he owns a YouTube TV channel on which he uploads survival-themed instructional clips. Dave was the co-star on the reality television show Dual Survival for two seasons (2010–11) aired on the Discovery Channel.

Furthermore, he published Bushcraft 101 in 2014 (which made The NYT Best Seller list), Survivability for the Common Man in 2011, and Advanced Bushcraft in 2015. In 2015, Dave co-starred in a survival series named Dirty Rotten Survival, which aired on the National Geographic Channel.

Early Life And Education

He finished his formal education in his hometown. Following finishing high school, Dave joined the U.S. Army in 1981. Dual Survival

From 2010 to 2011, Dave co-starred on the reality television show Dual Survival for two seasons which aired on the Discovery Channel. On this show, he shared different survival skills, like how to cauterize an injury by using either gunpowder or fire.

Dave intentionally sliced open his arm and later had his co-host, Cody Lundin, use the technique to stop the bleeding. In 2012, the producers also decided he would not be coming back to the show when it was found that he lied about his military record.
