Bob Brooks ( Full name Bobby Brooks) is an American anchor and reporter. He currently serves as an anchor and reporter at 6abc. Bob became part of the 6abc Action News team in July 2016. Prior to arriving in Philadelphia, he served as an anchor at WTVJ. Bob won national recognition in the Hearst Journalism Awards Program due to a report he did on the potential impact Marcellus Shale gas drilling could bring on central Pennsylvania’s world-class trout fishing.
Bob is also a proud alum of Penn State’s award-winning student-run newscast The Centre County Report. While still a student at college, he got a chance to work as an intern at CBS News based in New York City. He hosted the show called 48 hours Mystery. Bob was thrilled to get the opportunity to work with an outstanding staff at 6abc. He has spent the biggest part of his life living the north of the Mason-Dixon Line in southwest Pennsylvania.
