The program was canceled in 1999 because of low ratings. In April 1999, Allison was promoted to co-anchor of NBC 5 News at 6 p.m. newscast after Joan Esposito left the station. Additionally, she hosted the weekly segment Wednesday’s Child from its inception in the year 1999 until its final report in 2005.
