Yogi launched his collegiate career as an athlete at the University of Pittsburgh. While there he joined the football team and earned a full athletic scholarship as a wide receiver.
Larry Fitzgerald was his college roommate. Yogi then started a coaching career on the staff of Pete Carroll at USC. After his graduation, the journalist rose through the coaching ranks and he eventually became USC’s assistant quarterbacks coach.
