Following graduation, Kathy moved back to New York City to get involved in both the music scene and DJ. Kathy’s first single, “New York ’93”, referring to her birth year, was issued on the New York City label Godmode on February 29, 2016, followed by a cover of “Guap” by Australian DJ Mall Grab during that May.
Before, Kathy had uploaded songs to SoundCloud, although they were canceled; for example “Areyouami”, which was released when Kathy was in college. Kathy’s debut eponymous EP, including both before singles, was released on March 31, 2017, by Godmode.
