He is also known as Tariq Elite, King Flex, and K-Flex best known for his Hidden Colors film series, as well as his commentary on social media. Tariq commenced his career as a dating expert under the “K-Flex” persona before transitioning into documentary filmmaking. Many of his dating books give instructions on how to be a pickup artist.
He produced a documentary film Buck Breaking about the historic sexual exploitation of Black people globally. The film shows the correlation between the historic exploitation of Black men during slavery and the Jim Crow era, to the Buck Breaking tactics used today.

In 1999, Tariq wrote a book based on his dating techniques called “The Art of Mackin,” which went on to sell over 250,000 copies. The book laid the foundation for the modern “seduction” industry. Tariq’s follow-up book “Play Or Be Played” was catered toward women trying to learn “the game”.
In 2005 Tariq released another book for men called “The Mack Within” (Penguin). In 2008 he released a controversial book called “The Art of Gold Digging”. His latest book was published in 2009 “The Elite Way: 10 Rules Men Must Know In Order To Deal With Women”.
