Summer Dashe is an American former anchor and reporter. She currently serves as a Visual Storytelling and Communications Contractor for the Department of Energy in Knoxville, Tennessee. Summer started her new role in Jan 2022. Formerly, she served as an anchor and director of storytelling at WATE 6 On Your Side ( ABC affiliate) based in Knoxville, Tennessee from Aug 2020 to Nov 2021.
Summer won the historian award in 3rd grade and since then, she has never stopped writing, recording, and also telling stories. She was hired by The local newspaper while in high school. However, the newspaper does not exist. Summer wrote a column and took photos around town. She was also the news editor for the high school paper. In college, Summer worked part-time for The Dallas Morning News where she covered the crime beat in the morning prior to heading to her journalism classes in the afternoon.
