Steve Squeri ( Full Name: Stephen J. Squeri) is a popular American Chief Executive Officer of American Express. He has been in the role since February 1, 2018, after the retirement of Kenneth Chenault. In May 2023, Steve was named the chair of the Manhattan College Board of Trustees. He also works on the Board of Directors of Monsignor McClancy Memorial High School, his alma mater. Steve joined American Express in 1985 as a manager in the Travellers Cheque Group.
