Stephanie Ready is an American journalist. She currently serves as a broadcaster for NBA on TNT where she hosts The Warm Up M/T/Th 6 pm ET and The Bounce on Wed. 7:30 pm-1:30 ET on The Yahoo! Sports app. Previously, Stephanie worked as a broadcaster for the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Charlotte Hornets. Prior to launching her broadcasting career, Stephanie was a basketball coach.
This role helped her gain a lot of recognition since she was the first female coach of a men’s professional league team in 2001. Stephanie became part of Hornets’ broadcasts for over a decade following a stint as a head coach at the NBA Development League. Soon after, a 129-match losing streak of Lady Eagles’ was snapped. Mitchell called upon Stephanie again but this time to help him on the bench for Coppin State’s men’s basketball team.
By so doing, Stephanie became the third woman ever to coach Division I men’s basketball after Jennifer Johnston of Oakland University in Michigan, as well as Bernadette Mattox.
