Stephanie has been touched by so many stories as a reporter. Her most memorable story was the coverage of the Big Sky Honor Flight from Billings, Montana to Washington, D.C. The trip gave Stephanie an opportunity to witness and also share the journey of nearly 100 World War II Veterans. Also, Stephanie has covered many historic events such as the Fertilizer Plant Explosion in West, the Olympic Trials in Track & Field, Texas, the tragic mass shooting at Umpqua Community College, as well as President Obama’s visit to Roseburg.
Additionally, she covered the resignation of Gov.John Kitzhaber as well as the 2016 Presidential race where Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders were candidates. Stephanie was the only local news reporter present during the 2008 presidential campaign of Barack Obama when he made a surprise visit to a home in Billings, Montana.
Her passion for health and medical reporting enabled r rather pushed Stephanie to take several semesters of post-baccalaureate education in both physical and social sciences. Stephanie has worked as a reporter, producer, anchor, and videographer. Her passion is meeting people and telling their stories. Stephanie launched her career in April of 2008 by working as a news reporter at KULR-TV based in Billings, Montana. Stephanie has worked in many media markets all over the country.
She has been to Charlotte, Eugene, North Carolina, Oregon, and Waco, Texas as well. She has also lived in Oregon for several years but currently is excited to be hosting and reporting for MORE Good Day Oregon at FOX 12 Oregon. Stephanie first fell in love with journalism while working as an intern at the local PBS affiliate in Orange County, California, KOCE-TV. From there, she joined Chapman University where she graduated from the Dodge School of Film and Television.
She also has other professional experience as a community education manager. Stephanie educates the public and also advocates for victims of both domestic and sexual violence. Apart from chasing news from here and there, Stephanie has volunteered with multiple organizations as a mentor. Such organizations include A Family for Every Child, the YWCA, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. She also volunteers as a medical counselor at Texas Lions Camp. During her college years, Stephanie had the opportunity to intern and report at KCBS-TV and PBS’ KOCE-TV.
