Currently, he serves as a contributing editor and education writer for National Review. Stanley has taught in various universities such as Harvard and the University of Chicago.
Formerly, he was an Adjunct fellow at Hudson Institute, with a special interest in America’s “culture wars.” As an author, Stanley has published extensively on family life, religion, child-rearing, feminism, affirmative action, homosexuality, campus “political correctness” and psychology in different parts of the world.

Stanley Kurtz Western Civilization | The Lost History Of Western Civilization
He is the author of The Lost History of Western Civilization. This book is a wide-ranging consideration of the academy’s role in producing America’s contemporary political as well as cultural divisions. It traces the ways in which the 1988 controversy over the teaching of Western Civilization at Stanford set the pattern for today’s “Cold Civil War.”

In Juli 2020, the senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center joined Mark Levin to discuss the “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule” (AFFH) added by former Us president Barack Obama to the 1968 Fair Housing Act. The conservative scholar said that AFFH has aimed to expand federal influence over suburbia. In an interview held on “Life, Liberty & Levin,” Stanley said that Obama and his wing of the Democratic Party viewed suburbs as “fundamentally unjust” communities preventing taxation from flowing into the urban cities they surround.
In July 2020, Dr. Ben Carson, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) announced that he was stripping Obama’s AFFH Rule from the Fair Housing Act. Ben argued that the rule “was an overreach of unelected Washington bureaucrats into local communities.” The same point was echoed by Stanley.
