Stan Boney is an American Anchor and reporter. He currently works at WKBN 27 ( CBS Affiliate) as a First News Anchor and Meteorologist. Stan began his broadcasting career in Youngstown in the 1980s at the age of 22. He began by working for WYTV Channel 33 and spend 36 years. Because he was hired to do news and sports, Stan’s first story was a feature on the Boardman High School football team.
In the fall of 1982 two years later, he took over the weather at WYTV and held the position until 1989 when WYTV started doing weather outdoors. The set was right outside the studio, where Stan did the weather every night. During that time, Stan launched “hat of the night,” which went on for 10 years. He also reported weekly on environmental issues at the same time. Additionally, Stan hosted the annual Labor Day Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy.
