On November 22, 2021, she quit her meteorologist and morning traffic anchor positions at KENS 5, San Antonio.
Stacia had joined the station as the Saturday morning anchor and reporter and was elevated to the noon newscast anchor position. Stacia departed San Antonio television to move closer to family in North Texas. Her reason for departure was so as to take care of her ailing father. He suffers from Alzheimer’s. She wants to be close to them now more than ever because they are great parents who raised her with more love and affection.
Since leaving KENS 5 San Antonio, Stacia has done fill-in traffic work on WFAA 8 Dallas – Fort Worth. Prior to joining KENS 5 News, she also served at WWL based in New Orleans, Louisiana as a reporter during the months of Hurricane Katrina. While there, Stacia focused on Louisiana politics, the growing violent crime problem, and the rebuilding of the city.
She also served at KLBK 13 based in Lubbock, Texas as the lead crime reporter in the year 2004. Stacia started her career at KVHP based in Lake Charles, Los Angeles. There, she reported stories across the state like the capture of the South Louisiana serial killer and the plight of the Nutria rats.
