Shannon worked for FOX 19 News as a Freelance Reporter and Anchor in Cincinnati, Ohio Area from January 2013 to April 2013. Before that, she worked as the main evening anchor for Sinclair Broadcast Group in Dayton, Ohio from 2011 to January 2013.

She started her broadcast journalism career as a radio announcer for 92.3 WTTS. Additionally, Shannon got her first television job in February 2004 working as a news reporter for KREM 2 TV in Spokane, Washington Area. Before that, She worked for KGO-TV as a Production assistant from 2001 to 2003. In addtion, Shannon has also worked for WVEC 13 News in Norfolk, Virginia Area from October 2006 to May 2011.

During the course of her career, her reporting and anchoring have been recognized with several awards including multiple Milwaukee Press Club awards and a recent Emmy win for the station’s multi-platform coverage of Wisconsin’s drunk driving epidemic.
